Decorate Your Interiors With Oversized Art

This post spotlights how oversized artwork can give your home the sophisticated feel of an art gallery while also creating focal points that define your space. The focal point is the area that demands complete attention as soon as someone enters that room so make sure your large art piece is the center of attention.Too much space with too little to anchor it makes a room feel lost and forlorn. When you have a big space to fill, oversized art can make the statement you're looking for. I like to use oversized art in smaller spaces as well. In an eclectic space, you can find large art that incorporates all your color schemes and makes the space feel intentional, rather than random.

Whether it's an abstract painting, classical art or a haunting photograph, placing large art around your home adds interest and gives it dramatic energy.

Large and colorful, this piece instantly commands attention, providing an excellent focal point to that draws together disparate design elements

If bold is not your thing but you want some exciting oversized art to enliven you area, there is avast array of wonderful subtle pieces to choose from.

Large wall art fills dead design space while making a memorable mark.

Usually the larger the print the more expensive it is. Why not try a grouping that's similarity gives the illusion of being one large piece.Unify the works with common mat colors, similar colored frames, and size and shape.

Decorating with an oversized piece of artwork has many benefits Not only will it be much easier to take notice of the piece but it will also help you define an area

This image show how you can even use two pieces of complementary art to fill a space.

Large art is wonderful for helping coordinate your colors and helps in balancing a room.

This piece of art pulls the color scheme together and brings focus to it.

Photography has a certain element of style that makes it easy to enjoy on a large scale.

Large-scale artwork sets the tone for a room and gives boring spaces a facelift.

Bright, bold color choices can be a wonderful way to bring a sense of drama to the walls.

Energize your tired-looking walls with contemporary oversized canvas art where no frame is needed.

Large abstract art is lovely in classical interiors as well.

These pieces of large wall decor many times  focus on conceptual combinations of geometric and abstract shapes.

If you are looking for a statement making focal point, the same goal can be accomplished with a grouping if done correctly. The power of a large piece of art in home decorating is obvious, but don't underestimate the power of small art.  When placed correctly, small art begs to be looked at and works great in groupings. One large piece can create a focal point in a room, while a small collection of pieces draw the eye for a closer look. This grouping works so well as a large piece because the two columns act as a frame.

This modern dining table is paired with sumptuous button tufted dining chairs and an antique wool rug to create the palette for a fresh twist on classic design. The modern art piece brings the color and drama to the setting.

If your walls are painted a light shade such as off-white, cream or taupe, try using wall art in bold shades to spice things up.

Oversized art can also be used to draw people in from one space to another.
Not only will it be much easier to take notice of the piece but it will also help you define an area

Decorating Your Interiors With Pink And Grey

Talk about total opposites! Feminine pink married to masculine grey......can they get along within the same color scheme? This color combination has been around for a few years but is still going strong. Take a look at these luscious living spaces an decide for yourself.

What makes it work so well is that grey is sophisticated and tones down the girly pink until it becomes elegant and womanly. Although the combo can scream 80's if you go too mauve or metallic, with the all the fabulous new shades of pink, from salmon and cerise to blush and bubblegum your interiors should look fresh and up to date. Couple with the many shades of grey and your rooms can go from demure with sophisticated warmth, to bold, sleek, gun metal cool.

Grey and pink is such a feminine, classic combination. Toss in a vase of roses and the room is complete!

Mirrored furniture is an excellent choice to accent a feminine pink and grey bedroom.

Pink and grey also work well with a country French or farmhouse interior

Chinoiserie.....why not. My favorite shade of pink is a warm rose like this and is lovely used with grey. I am usually not crazy about using the same pattern all over. However this room pulls it off elegantly. The white millwork adds the break it needs.

This pink and grey home office is a blend of masculine and feminine that seems to suit people more than sugary sweet pink interiors.

The pink/grey color combination can be warm and inviting as seen here in this charming space. I love how the grey washed floor ties into the casual rustic feel. Yellow is a lovely accent.

What beautiful window treatment for a bay or elliptical  window. This pretty grey/pink combination looks wonderful with a Harlequin floor.

My passion is for old world interiors which I find are beautiful when decorated with pink and grey.

You can be classic and on trend at the same time.

The pink/grey color combination is versatile and looks equally at home in an old world or modern interior.

The pink/grey color combo is a good choice for a room that mixes antique and modern.

Grey and pink can give your room a soft airy feel particularly when the two shades are in the pastel family.

If you only want a hint of pink in your grey interior, bring it in through accents and artwork.

A lovely modern and antique mix with just a hint of pink.

The palest of pinks pairs perfectly (hey that's a tongue twister ) with the palest of greys to create this tranquil space.

Beautiful borne settee and shelf interiors painted pale pink bring life to the saturation of grey.

Pink and grey multiple patterns can be so pretty if you are careful and selective. If you are not sure, by all mean hire a professional. It will pay off in the end and you will be happier with the results.

This pink/grey combination looks good with a few black accents because of the abundance of white. Be careful with these colors because they can turn on you real fast if not handled correctly!

Sometimes just a small dose of pink accents is all you need in a grey interior.

Black is an excellent color to add to the pink and grey mix.

If your pink and grey walls are bold, show some restraint on your furnishings and accents.

If you like fuchsia and grey together you can go strong on the grey and use the fuchsia for accents.

I love this fabulous old world interior with sumptious shades of pink and grey. Black accents bring the drama.

Pretty grey and pink French interior.

A pop of pink is all it takes to brighten up a grey interior.

Sometimes you might want to have the pink/grey combo but with some other color added in. Here are some nice alternatives that still come across as predominantly pink and grey.
