Decorating With Banquette Seating

When I think of a banquette, I think of eating with friends in an elegant restaurant on Paris's Right Bank. Lots of laughter and fascinating conversation. Why not turn your eating area into a sophisticated salle à manger and throw some fabulous dinner parties darling!!

There are many options when deciding on your choice of  banquette. There is the kind that invites a morning cup of coffee and paper and is motivation to make more time for it. Settling into one of these cozy breakfast banquettes would be the perfect start to a day. There is also the kind that transforms a room into an area perfectly suited for reading and reflection, and small intimate dinners. Or if you are the practical type, a banquette seating area is a great use of space.

Whatever your style, taste or design need, a banquette will definitely be a nice addition to your interiors.

If you want to get away from a cookie cutter look for your dining room, try using banquettes. I have two rectangular tables that I use to make one long table or pull apart like this for restaurant style dining. It's versatile and fun. I am loving these two banquettes!

A banquette can serve as a focal point in the kitchen, or can even serve as a transitional feature between the kitchen and another room.
